Denver — State Sen. Tom Wiens, R-Castle Rock, will take about 140 rural and inner-city elementary school students to the National Western Stock Show on Friday. One group of students will be from Larkspur Elementary in rural Douglas County, and another from Watch Care Academy in inner-city Denver.
“This is a tremendous way for children from rural and urban environments to share quality time together and learn more about a great Colorado tradition during the 100th anniversary of the National Western,” Wiens said. “The Stock Show is a great venue to develop friendships, learn more about one another, and have fun.”
Details: Sen. Wiens hosts 140 students from Denver and Douglas County for a day at the Stock Show on Friday, Jan. 12.
